Grand Seiko SBGA231 Titanium Diver Three Years Of Heavy Use - Unless I'm wearing my SBGY002 18k GOLD stunner dress watch my Grand Seiko SBGA231 titanium diver is always on wrist. I don't baby my watches. This amazing super hard titanium alloy watch has held up great. It's still super comfortable on wrist and runs at about +1/2 second a month. Amazing to say the least. At first when I got the watch I wasn't a fan of the clasp. It looked too bulbous and why the stamped parts? After about two week of use I started to like the clasp and now I don't think I would want a heavy use sport watch without it. It's so quick and easy to adjust and comes on and off easily. In addition to the quick adjustment feature it has traditional micro adjustments for initial and seasonal sizing. It simply works great and it balances the watch and has an aggressive industrial look that complements the watch.

Th SBGA231 is no longer available on the GS website. I hope they make the replacement in Titanium with the new 9RA5 movement, and still retain the crown / date at the 3 pm position.

Craig, very nice recap! I have a question: The accuracy of your watch sounds phenomenal! That’s pure 9F accuracy. As you know, Seiko stands by a +\minus 15 sec/month or even plus/minus 10 secs/month on the new Spring Drive. Here’s the question: Will Grand Seiko re-regulate the Spring Drive to try to get accuracy like you are getting (at my expense, of course)?

The clasp is probably titanium on the outer where the scratches are...the inner is SS. U can look at the inner clasp where it writes Titanium alloy + St. Steel
