I agree with you! I have every color from Cuero and I can wear them all day for 13 hour shifts at work and not feel any discomfort. I feel that the leather is better, the heel is angled better and the price is better on Cuero boots than Tecovas! I wish that Cuero would hurry and make exotic skin boots!

Tecovas for me! I have three pairs of Tecovas never had any issues with them and I’ll be buying more!

I’ve never had a pair of Cuero’s. But I have had experience with Tecovas, and the quality for the price impressed me so much I’m not sure I could sacrifice that to try the cheaper Cuero… I’m not a big fan of going for the most expensive, cause that doesn’t always mean quality, but I do believe in you get what you buy, and I think you should spend more than a $100 for a legit handcrafted bulletproof boot.

Tecovas boots are legit, I bought a pair of the Emmitt ostrich square toe last December, about a month after I had them the right boot started to squeak, I brought them back to the store, told the salesman the problem, he went and got me a brand new pair to swap, no questions asked, to me, that is quality customer service

I'm not sure if you would even remotely consider that a comparison 🤔

I have a pair of Cueros and a pair of Tecovas. I like the the heel angle and the tighter arch on the Cueros, but over time the Tecovas have held up better. I regularly wear each about eight hours a day and really put both through the ringer. Rain, snow, pavement, mud, ect. While Cuero uses a softer leather, it's thinner for sure and that's where you get the lower price. In my opinion.

I bought some cuero. They are made well but made on a funny last. They are narrow and long.

Seems very... polished for a guy who’s made ONE video. He even puts the box up on display after he opens it....

I own 9 pair of Tecovas and 3 pairs of Cuero. Both of them are more of a dress/fashion boots and need to be evaluated as such. Both do have work models, but I dont own any of those to make a comment. Cuero is copy catting Tecovas business model of direct to consumer, but so are many other brands. Luchesse is making a big shift and seem to be going the Tecovas route. The boots themselves fit and feel slightly different. Visually all the stuff you can see to the eye is similar build quality. Price could be a small cut in quality or simply size of company and overhead. Cuero offers basically four western models. tecovas has probably 20 plus. Tecovas also has brick and mortar stores. Their prices probably reflect everything they have to do to make money and grow a business. They are probably a 10 times bigger company than Cuero. They all have real leather shafts, vamps, leather insoles, outsoles, good year welts, steel shanks, leather heels with rubber caps.

For my feet Cuero fits in the heel better and the insole is more comfortable. Their insole is more padded. The wear on the outsole seems to wear slower than my Tecovas. I rotate boots but wear them in the same type environment five to six days a week. Every pair of Tecovas I own, I can also feel a lemon wood peg or part of the vamp under the ball of my foot in the left boot. After break in I dont notice it unless I think about it. I dont feel that in any other brand that I own. In fairness, Ive got some high end Luchesse and black jacks that Tecovas smoke in comfort.

Size wise. All three of my Cuero were ordered in my normal size. All three were spot on. In Tecovas, Ive had several pairs vary in size. I have a store two hours away and have had to exchange several pairs to find the right fit. I currently have three different sizes in my 9 current Tecovas boots. Again, I also feel Tecovas has the cheapest out sole of every boot brand I own. They wear much faster than every other brand I own.

Im a fan of boots. I wont knock either of these brands. They both are comfortable boots with very similar construction. For the shape of my foot Cuero wins in the comfort and heel fit department. All three pairs are super comfortable. My Tecovas are comfortable, but some boots are better then others, even with the same model. Tecovas wins in styles and colors and the fact they have brick and mortar store close by. I havent sent anything back to Cuero but have emailed customer service with questions. They were quick to respond. They have the same or very similar return policy. Tecovas customer service is top notch as well at the brick and mortar stores.

Appears the Tecovas are a larger boot vs the Cuero boot. I vote for Cuero.

Nice review Jon. Do the Cuero boots fit more snug than the Tecovas ? From your video it seems that the Cueros have a slimmer foot profile.

Do they make roper boots?
I have a pair of tecovas ostrich boots I can’t wear because I feel the heel and they are hard to get on and off plus I am not used to walking in boots with high heels. I want my boots to feel like a pair of work boots on my feet.

I'm in debate on the Cuero boots. I just got a pair of Tecovas earlier in the year.

Bro from the look and sound of you putting on your boots, i think they are too loose on you, maybe try a size or half size down 🤷🏽‍♀️
