DC_THURS on Great Expectations w/ James Campbell

James Campbell & Pete Soderling discussed the Great Expectations project, a favorite tool for data testing among our community. We covered recent and exciting updates - a brand new Modular Expectations API for extensibility and new batch-style data connectors - and talked about how the new data profilers work in GE. Earlier on, we also chatted about James’ previous career in various data analyst roles (including at the NSA!) to distill helpful career advice for viewers.

James Campbell is the Chief Technology Officer at Superconductive, the company behind the Great Expectations data quality management tool. He joined Superconductive after more than a decade in the US Intelligence Community, where he led Data Science and Analytics teams focused on issues from cybersecurity to political modeling. James is passionate about blending quantitative and qualitative approaches to developing insight about the world.
