Im chinese and I can explain partially why it is like this
1. Tencent is known for its cash grab, most game they make has a wishing system that needs a lot of 点卷(the ticket thing) to pull and they basically do anything they can to get you to pay more
- Most games they own have a lot of skins that are extremely beautiful and expensive
- Banners and stuff that shows off you are rich
2. Chinese parents complain if they see anything close to dangerous to kids
- Chinese babies are too "vulnerable" they will cry if they see skellies.
- Angel should not be seductive
- Skull heads will make Chinese babies cry
3. Global version needs a dark skin hero to get out of the "racist" bubble, Chinese version don't care cz... its for the Chinese

Okay the anti rushing feature thingy is a must have in the global version

as a chinese myself who's living outside of china since a kid... I've been so envious with those heroes skins and sceneries 😢

They really need the prosperity system in the global version of the game, especially because the attack anytime update now encourages people to rush now that they can just farm resources until their storages are overflowing. Rushing is currently rewarding, that needs to change and I imagine it wouldn't be too hard for them to port it over to the global version.

Minus the gacha system (which seems to be present in every game ported to China) a lot of the other features are pretty cool. I think it would be cool if we could armored skeletons as a troop level, and I really like the champion league redesign

I remember seeing a tourist’s video who found Clash of Clans in North Korea too lol💀. It looked like an older version of COC with several barracks and stuff.

Nice to know they play CoC in North Korea…
