Why do so many pastors and ministers preach HELL. I'm a good person. I love God with all my heart. Why would God send his children to eternal hell just because they mede some mistakes on earth. 😢

I think the term “Near Death Experience” should be changed to “Eternal Life Experience” as the latter more adequately describes it. It’s not that people have been “near death” - it’s that they have momentarily visited Heaven.

I have heard that an experience is called an NDE when it is transformative. But that is problematic for people like me who have had mystical experiences all their lives, and dedicated their lives to others etc. So when I had an NDE, I was laughing along very relaxed, finally took myself back into my body, then acted like nothing had happened really, as it was just another weird experience in my life. And at the end of the day I was still back to gaining enlightenment and helping others, my himalayan masters/ teachers would tell me not to focus on experiences too much but getting 'the hell out of samsara', and 'everything is a projection of your mind'. They also said that anyone could have a negative NDE or go to a hell realm at any time, if some karma ripens (even happens to great saints). Tibetan Book of the Dead and other texts have a lot to say about NDEs, and much more beyond that. It's a shame no one in the nde field is looking into this, or interviewing someone like Bob Thurman (translator of Tibetan Book of the Dead) etc.

I've heard dozens of NDEs, and I have a keen interest in them for a number of reasons. Your testimonial video—and this one—are unique, and one thing that I do appreciate is that you are clear about the fact that what you experienced—and what you saw—was likely a transitional place with the possibility of a much fuller experience had you continued on. The fact that you saw your grandfather's truck may help explain why although most NDEs have similar characteristics, they are all unique in some way. In other words, it may be that the experience at that initial phase into the other side is somewhat "customized" to the individual. Maybe you have some thoughts about that.

I’ve been fascinated with near death experiences for a long time. They have helped me reconcile conflicts I’ve always had with my Christian faith. Recently, you’ve been a part of that. So, thank you.

Dear Barker.
Sounds nice. I hope your views are correct. I am agnostic-atheist, but I am very interested in experiences such as this. (atheist as in I simply dont accept any religious interpretation of a deity, as they are all just small and petty in how its described to a point of insulting ones intelligence to even entertain a universe set up as such).
I wonder though...when people discuss things like moving forward to the light of god, rejoining, etc..that sounds absolutely horrifying..like a individual drop of water being tossed into a ocean, losing its identity.
Or for a more nerdy reference..like the borg collective, being assimilated and losing oneself. Did you get that impression..upon reflecting of the event, are you just a carrier of information and once integrated back into the "source", lose your being / identity / life as you built it here?

Thank you for sharing. My son, who is 31 yrs old, is also an agnostic. I've spoken to him some about an eternal life but he seems bored by the thought of it. He too is a teacher. I shared this video on my Facebook page in hopes he is intrigued enough to watch it. I am not a religious person, but I am spiritual. I had some fear that by not being religious or connected with a specific religious group, might be risking my soul from moving on to eternal life. Maybe a childish view but it was a question I could find no answers for. Your story has helped reduce my fears and has helped me renew my hopes of one day being in the presence of God myself. Thank you for taking the time to share your story.

There are many NDEs (100s) where people drop right into hell and experience many horrors as well as similar ones to this one. Tricia, when you refer to God, do you mean Yahweh or Jesus? What church do you attend (denomination), curious... Thank you and nice testimony!
