What is R-Value? (Heat Transfer) | SKILL-LYNC

Показать описание
When there is a difference in voltage, current flows. The value of the current is determined by resistance!
Similarly, heat flows when there is a difference in temperature. The amount of heat transfer that takes place depends on the resistance of the material

For solid conduction, this resistance is given by L/KA
Here, L is the length over which temperature difference exists
K refers to the thermal conductivity and A refers to the face area
Overall, L/KA is what we call as the R-value. The higher the R-value, the better the material is at resisting heat transfer
