Wendel over at Level1Techs has a whole video about getting RAID working on Ryzen there is a certain order you need to load the drivers in. Also having a non-RAID boot drive with RAID other drives gets really messy with AMD. I had no luck getting that working without making the boot drive a single disk array (JOBD).

The high temps on the Threadripper when using an AIO is likely because the Asetek design of AIO water pump cold plates actually don't cover all of the silicon footprint of any of the Threadrippers. My 3970X was the same, hovering in the mid 80's and in the summer closer to 90 or above, until I changed to full water cooling. Once I took the picture of Lisa Su holding the 3990X up at CES and cropped down that image so it only showed the naked Threadripper. I took a picture of my 3970X after removing the AIO with the thermal grease still on the IHS. I resized that photo and cropped it to be identical in size to the naked one to compare where the grease was to where the silicon on the 32-core was. 2 of my chiplets were at most 20% covered, the other 2 on the other side of the IO die were maybe 80% covered (I still have the comparisons photos merged into a single image). Changing to higher end thermal grease made some difference, but it was still between 70c and 80c. Full liquid cooling with the EK Zenith II Extreme monoblock changed that.
