I saw Jimmy and Eddie in Berkeley one month before Jimmy passed. They were great together. Jimmy talked to me at length and played my request "Honest I Do" after the break. He told me to be sure to come up to him again at the next gig so he would remember me. The sweetest man ever and then he was gone. My heart was broken.

I have been a Jimmy Reed fan since 1959 and I had no idea that this footage existed. Thank you for sharing.

A REAL blues legend - period. (1925 - 1976 R.I.P. Gone but NOT forgotten).

Jimmy sings this from the heart. Germany has always been a home for Bluesmen like Champion Jack Dupree, Louisiana Red and many others. The Germans are genuine and loving people.

I knew Jimmy well. A kindly man, he said he had trouble with epeliptic fits. Mama (his wife) often used to sing along…. check out his huge hit “Baby What You Want Me To Do”

I thank Dylan for my enjoyment and appreciation of Jimmy Reed. Through both his songs and his new book. “Goodbye, Jimmy Reed, Jimmy Reed indeed/ give me that old time religion, it’s just what I need.”

Ah, Jimmy Reed! One of the nicest men in blues music! Sure, he may have had a drinking problem - but he also struggled with epilepsy. Anyway, I'd still take a drunk Jimmy Reed over... say, a sober Ted Nugent!!

Insane camera direction has them cutting to what he's doing with his hands for little more than a split second at a time before IMMEDIATELY returning to his face, insuring we don't get to see his guitar work. Well done, whoever you were!
On the plus side: GOD BLESS LIVE FOOTAGE OF EDDIE TAYLOR NO MATTER HOW MOTTLED!!!
