Will This Abandoned 1970 Jeep Wagoneer Run And Go Offroading After Sitting 22 Years?

I think these earlier Jeeps are acceptable as honorary Mopars at this point. It would be a long time until Chrysler bought AMC to acquire Jeep, but spiritually it seems right to me. For one thing, just like Chrysler Corporation, they were often broke and on the verge of nonexistence. This particular Jeep is powered by a Buick engine (which I happen to love.) So while that may not seem very Mopar, I'm going to let it slide. Anyway... will it do Jeeping? And by Jeeping, I of course mean some extremely mild wheeling through a rutted field.

Had a 69 wagoneer back in the mid 80's. It was a complete rust bucket! Just north of Chicago, salt on the roads every winter. I think there was only one motor mount, (the other had rusted off), exhaust was... well, okay, there wasnt one really. Only the drivers door worked, and no the bsck window wouldnt roll up. Fun times in the winter!😂😂😂
Have fun, thank for the video Jamie!

Have always absolutely loved the early Wagoneers, unfortunately if you can find one up here people usually want a small fortune for them.

That wagoneer really wants to come back to life- already hauling parts & being useful!

1. When did Rocket get a swing set, play house?
2. GM Dizzy: Hard to change points, way easier fix stuck weights
3. The Jeep will lure you in with self healing fun then suck every dollar you have straight from you pockets. Still cheaper than a Mopar?
4. I'm in before your sub numbers take off to the moon. Your channel really should have 100k+.

I have convinced my wife to let me get a 68-72 charger. Your channel has helped a lot. Thank you.

Station wagons were real popular. Those Jeeps developed an almost cult popularity just about instantly. Off road capable with comfort for the whole family.

High bud, good to see ya!!! I lived in Vermont less than two miles from Canada in the green mtns. I lived there for 25 yrs until my boys went off to college. I've owned several jeeps, A J-20 pickup ( extremely rugged). Two Wagoner for my wife, A C-J 7 for me for ( getting to work). Two Waggoner over ten years ( wife). I used the J-20 to haul everything including 8 cords of wood to heat our house. Plus anything I needed to haul. My J-20 was a 1967, I kept it on the road for 20+ yrs, about every two years I had to do lots if cut & weld metal to it I also replaced the body twice . it had sheep 327 cu in motor built by Jeep it lasted as long as I owned the truck. Minor repairs like heads reworked rinds & bearings etc. Loved my jeeps !!! Love your videos!!!!

Perhaps the greatest SUVs on this universe. My Dad had a '68 International Travelall and its was significantly bigger with the same small underpowered v6 the wagonner had. My best friend owned an '84 and I fell in love with that midsized UTE. I own a 2008 Jeep Commander AWD in a 3.7. I'm gonna drive it until it dies and maybe swap it with Tesla twin motors.

I had 2 1970 waggoneers. 1 was a Buick 350 with a 3 on the tree, the other was a Buick 350 with a turbo 400 on.the floor. The second 1 with the turbo 400 was a dream off road.

It sounds just like Christine did, ya know, before she healed herself?
Probably a bad GM camshaft.

I used to have one of these to drive with my farm manager position. Late series dark blue with the faux woody sides. Leather interior. I liked it.

🇺🇸👍 Great subject matter!!! Now if we (Your Viewers) would share more, you have what it takes to be one of the best channels, Personality, Voice, Looks (not so much) just kidding even thou I thought your previous looks seemed more fitting had that I’ve been around and no what I’m talking about. ThankYou for your earlier reply to the Duster 5.7 Hemi swap not exactly what I wanted to hear. I got it in 2008 motor trans everything except the fuse box’s. Damn labor cost !!! Your M-37 is great just slow. Going 45 mph down the freeway takes forever 👍

I only use starting fluid in engines I don't care about, ever since I broke the camshaft in my '50 Coronet .
