I found this AMV when I was still an addict to opiates, and now 8 years later, I've been through 3 serious relationships, 2 deaths, 6 years of Methadone, and I just met a new girl who is absolutely amazing. Little did I know she's also into anime. Even seeing this again tonight is like a sign. The lyrics always made me get goosebumps. Now they're more relevant to my life than ever before. I remember this being one of the AMVs I watched/listed to on repeat before I moved to Florida from Ohio. I was intensely depressed at the time and didn’t leave my room, and now I have gone back to college and got into a serious relationship that’s lasted five years at this point. I’m back here again, because now I’m moving again tomorrow to New York.

I’m not depressed anymore but I’m sad in the moment.

You know, I don't remember if I saw Rei save Asuka at the last moment. That's a very powerful message, that right as the Nuke is going off/about to, as important as we know this scene to be and what they were both willing to sacrifice here, she still took the last moment to push Asuka away, even knowing it risked not stopping the Angel.
