LARGE Marina Catfish caught with a few live Bluegill!!!

What a night!

I went fishing for catfish on a friends boat that was docked at a local marina. I only had a few Bluegill with me and was able to catch a few nice Catfish! The first Catfish nearly pulled my rod into the water! You get to see the difference between a Blue catfish and Flathead catfish bite! Hopefully Ryan will fix his boat motor someday so we can take his boat out... or I will buy a boat someday!

Absolutely loved this video, Bill!! Congrats on some good fish!! I'm gonna have to try this off the back of my pontoon that I have at marina on Watauga Lake TN. Two questions for you, "How deep is the water where you were fishing?? And, "Is this the Marina that is located on Fort Loudoun Lake at Lenoir City Park?? Keep up the good work!! Yeah I see that everybody else is saying carburetor. that was my problem with my boat too. You might be able to get by with cleaning the carburetor but it's a lot better to rebuild it with a rebuild kit which is mainly just gaskets and the seats for the jets. Then you'll know that everything is good inside.

I caught a real nice lake trout and a channel cat Tuesday, lost some Lakers also, well that is fishing.

Ttake some crawlers with ya next time, those docks are great for blue gill fishing as you wait for cat bites.

I'm with the guys saying check the fuel system, lines, filter, water in bowl. Siphon gas & replace with new. I store my boat with fresh gas & Stabilizer, come spring, siphon gas & run it through my truck - FRESH gas in boat at spring to. Suggestions only, I don't claim to be a guru, but I get by.

That engine problem you were talking about is either the flux capacitor or be sure and check the air in the tires it maybe that

Carburetors for sure. Clean the main jets and dont let it sit over winter with standard junk gas. Use rec fuel if its available where you are. Or at least some stabil in the tank to prevent the ethanol from turning to crap

Great video Dave. Yeah those extensions on the scotty rod holders suck. They work way better on the regular base.
