The iPhone Pro Max is getting all the attention this year, which makes sense. As usual, it’s the biggest, slickest phone, with the best camera, and it’s got the newest marquee feature: The Dynamic Island. It’s also got a newly stabilized selfie camera, an always-on display, and it’s capable of satellite connectivity. Plus, for the first time, Apple has ditched a physical SIM card—in the US.But there’s an old saying: No man is an island, and maybe he should hold off on buying the fancy phone if he wants one that will actually last.

So Apple replaced the SIM tray with a filler piece of

It was clear from the beginning that Apple has only out a piece of plastic where the SIM slot is because it's only for the US model...
it would've cost a LOT more to design an entirely new Mainboard just for the US.
They will only start to use the extra space once they remove the slot worldwide.

Also Apple: puts a useless plastic chunk bigger than the headphone jack

Because this iPhone 14 Pro camera shaking/rattling problem is only affecting the camera in third-party apps, it’s almost certainly a software bug of some sort. It is likely that these third-party apps weren’t prepared for the iPhone 14 Pro camera changes. In particular, it could be something related to optical image stabilization, hence the rattling sounds the camera module itself makes

Repairability score should be increase 1 point because plastic box does not have serial number and apple logo, therefore it can be replaceable.

Unless I missed it I didn't see mentioned - more extensive use of thermal transferring graphite sheets/tape, on the SoC as well as the back of the display. Hopefully that 2000 nits screen can stay bright for longer in the sun instead of dimming down super quickly like every iPhone before it in the sun or when it's running something intensive?

I might be in minority, but once phone hits 128 or 256 GB, it's more than enough storage for most users. I'd be more interested in having USB-C than card reader in 2020s phone.
