Bled Strategic Forum 2022 - Opening Day

We are living in uncertain and unstable times. The world order built on universally accepted rules has virtually disappeared, and with the Russian aggression on Ukraine, the remaining postulates of international and humanitarian law collapsed, bringing an era of uncertainty and instability.
In this unstable environment, what place should the European Union occupy? If according to the European Commission’s vision, the European Union is to wield geopolitical clout, it will have to increase its capacity to address the key global challenges.

Katarina Barley sat on the chair as a very good example of the EU's approach to problems and solution techniques.

She arrogantly criticized the Hungarian country's elections to Péter Szijjártó, who truly and faithfully appreciated the single success achieved by Türkiye in the path of solution and solidarity (which has been pending for around 60 years to be a EU member. Never mentioned at the event).

Another subject which was pointed out not only by Péter Szijjártó but also by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, was the essential trade with Russia should not be taken politically or ideologically, since it necessitates due to the vast dependence to the gas & oil.

It was also a tragicomical scene, where Nikolaos Dendias (which should be the last one in the saloon with its government’s sancions against Russia and support Ukrain) desparately tried to take this as an opportunity to blame Türkiye for supporting Russia.

Keep talking about unification, winter is coming just before Russian aggression!
