Zermatt Travel Guide - Best Things To Do in Zermatt Switzerland

Zermatt is one of the most iconic mountain town's in Switzerland especially because it has the most photographed mountain in the world, the Matterhorn. This Zermatt Switzerland travel guide will show you the best things to do in this tiny carless town. First we went on the Gornergrat train up to Riffelsee Lake to see the Matterhorn reflection on it's waters. After we headed back down to Zermatt to take a funicular & cablecar up to Blauherd which is the strating point to the Five Lakes Hike. Up here we had an amazing lunch at Fluhalp Mountain Hut which has breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. Last but not least we took the highest cable car in the world up to Glacier Paradise. This place blew our mind because we got to see a massive glacier and you even get a chance to hop over to Italy if you want. We hope this Zermatt guide helps you with your exciting trip

11:39 I grew up in a neighborhood called Heavenly Heights. My street was Alps Road, and you have to take Mr. Everest, to Mt. Marcy, to Matterhorn to get there. Funniest part… our neighborhood was FLAT as can be!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Great video thankyou this really helped plan my trip here in a few months in July 2024. Didnt think we could get here as our Itinerary was Bern > Lauterbrunnen > Lake Como via Grimsel Pass, but have worked a half day up at Gornergrat in the AM between getting from Bern to Lauterbrunnen. It adds 4 hours driving to the itinerary but it looks totally worth it!
