Hello and welcome to my channel!

My name is Dr. Tom Walters and I am a board-certified orthopedic physical therapist who specializes in exercise prescription and manual therapy. Besides working as a physical therapist, I also served as a full-time undergraduate kinesiology professor for nine years and taught courses in human biomechanics, therapeutic exercise and pain science.

I hope you find my channel to be helpful. Please look through my playlists, which are organized by body region, when looking for exercises for a particular pain issue or injury.

Also, my new book (Rehab Science: How to Overcome Pain and Heal from Injury) contains comprehensive rehab exercise programs for the 50 most common conditions with pictures of me doing the exercises. Here is an Amazon link for my self-guided rehab book. It covers the 50 most common injuries and pain issues and all of the programs have pictures of me doing the exercises.

I just ordered your book. I only wish I found you sooner. I am 7 1/2 weeks out from a bimalleolar ankle fracture. This is my first broken bone at age 56 (hopefully my last). I was truly not prepared for the amount of pain, length of healing and rehab needed.

Where is the link for the fascia tool? I had my 4th Fascia surgery 9 months ago and not healing well! Cut both sides of my foot. My ankle is also very painful so I need to do some exercise exercises and I think this tool will help me!

I won’t be watching this video. but for those reading this comment. trust me this guys legit. I had forearm pain for a couple days after doing 2 finger push-ups. did one of his techniques for 30 seconds. the pain was completely gone. Thanks again boss

I sub and occasionally watch things pertaining to me. 74 yr old woman, 2 TKR a yer-2 yrs ago. Kneecap area stiffens up, could this be collagen buildup or scar tissue? I developed 2x rotator cuff injuries with impingement in both arms that I will eventually require surgery they say. I have a lot of pain with melaxican daily and Tramadol (PRN) assisting me to deal with it. I have not been walking like I should the past year due to the shoulder pain hampering my gait. Not sure if much in the way of excercise can help except it keeps the joints loosened right now.
