Viera, Florida, is a Top 10 Master Planned Community located in Brevard County on Florida's east coast. There is talk about Viera getting its own zip code, but for now it is in unincorporated Melbourne and Rockledge. The master plan for Viera was announced in 1989 and the first neighborhood, Hammock Lakes, erected in 1992. New construction continues today with the newest neighborhoods being Del Webb, a 55+ community, Pangea Park, and Laurasia.
