My son in law read this book and we had a discussion about it. So i read some of it. It was horrible and devastating. He doesnt mention how many of the men that were involved in this, later when their concious returned, killed themselves. They couldnt live with what they had done.

Daniel Jonah Goldhagen wrote, "Hitler's Willing Executioners". It describes how ordinary people helped with the Jewish persecution because it was the most normal and expected thing to do as much as picking up trash or eating breakfast. Hitler is blamed for 13, 000, 000 deaths, we ignore all the people who helped him find, corral, load, transport, and enslave Jews (and others) before they were incinerated.

I love that he is shouting into the wilderness to warn people that; No, the military and the police will 100% obey the terrible orders they're given. They will not compromise their own families and their paychecks and all that other stuff to rebel. They will commit the atrocities, and if they can't fully rationalize it later, they'll go to counseling and cry about PTSD.
You'll still be dead, but they might feel bad.
