Adding Ghost shrimp in my puffer fish aquarium

I bought a bag of 50 neon tetras and I think the fishshop seller accidentally put in one ghostshrimp and I was over the moon😂

NOOoOO!!! I brought 8 one time. Now I have over 500. I keep having to put them in different tanks. Lol! Some already have eggs. I pray those pea puffers do a good job!

(Update on them: pea puffers have almost wiped them out some survived. I have a 20 gallon that is all ghost shrimp besides 1 betta. Betta is chill out his 100+ roommates. Betta gets pets daily. I have 2 other tanks that I got all males in so no breeding in there. I finally got it under control! The pea puffers love to get those shrimp snacks about once or twice a month. They still breed like crazy. The only think I can say is that I do a small water change once a week. And I have nothing but natural things in my tanks. Live plants, natural sand and gravel, natural looking rocks, and driftwood. I also only use sponge filters. I also don’t feed flakes or pellets. I feed frosted thawed food.

This educational video on aquatic eco systems made me think about peoples raging appetites for shellfish and the damage its doing to the oceans....wont be nothing left to clean up the oceans

Great to know. I was wondering if I could market my culls and crossbreed shrimp as puffer food. Now I know it is viable. I have tanks full of less desirable color variants and wild type Neos. I already sell tons of ramshorn snails as puffer food. Do you ever feed them fry as a food source?

i love ghost shrimp. i bought some for my green spotten puffer tank but then saw that they were infected with horsehair worm.

Once my class went to a wild life place and we had to find tiny creature so we could look at them back in the lab, my team found one ghost shrimp and we named him Gary, well when she took up all the creatures she threw Gary in the sink and put all bowl with the creatures in the sink. We had a funeral for Gary that day

Brooo😭 I once bought a singular ghost shrimp because they were super expensive in my area and the next day I saw it flipped over and my goldfish just ate in front of my eyes😭😭😭

Breeding ghost shrimp is considerably more difficult than breeding neocaridina shrimp.
So, I doubt a over population of ghost shrimp is so something to be concerned about

Once we found some ghost shrimp at the beach and we took them back to school to put in the saltwater tank, but the toadfish ate them all 😀

Do goldfish eat them because I clean the filter twice a day but algae is really trying to grow ... what can I get for goldfish tanks

Im not good at keeping ghost shrimp alive but amano shrimp for some reason live like kings in my shack havent lost any yet
