One fatal flaw the alien appears to have heard them and turns around in an environment where v sound does not exist had the alien looked down and saw footsteps leading up to the astronauts would have only added to the realism even further being that the alien has no comprehension of sound. The astronaut seems to hear the alien coming around from behind as well, he too should have had a delayed reaction noticing the alien off the mirrored reflection of the visor from his partner right before being attacked.

Technically sense that monster is adapted to low gravity I'd be able to overpower it but I don't know the mobility of the space suits probably not much.
