Working 1960s Dalek Ride from Edwin Hall

Edwin Hall Dalek Ride 1964/1965
From an amusement arcade in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire
The Dalek has been in storage since the mid 1980s.
It has been repaired so it moves when money is added and its lights flash.
The soundis not currently working, although the tape is in place.

Wow I've been looking for this for years.

It's weird to think that I sat in this very same ride as a small child of 6 which is now 47 years ago.

Remember one of these in frith beach when I was a kid loved it spent 10 bob in it 😂😂

That thing terrified me as a child when we went to Mablethorpe. My parents had to cross to the other side of the street and shield me from view so it couldn't see me!

Lovely. There was one at Bognor Regis which I loved going in. What I think was so great was that the dalek proportions were quite accurate a lot more than some of the toys. Do we know the name of the manufacturing company and how many were built? Also are there any still in operation in arcades?

I know of one of these sat in an arcade in north wales doing nothing.
