Album of the year in '72 and still sounded great this morning but I really MUST stop playing Air Guitar ..I'm 65 and it's undignified and scaring the dogs !

Ha! I am 68 and have the same air guitar 🎸 malady. My wife forbids it. My grandkids roll their eyes 👀, but I don't care!

I am so glad that I spent most of my teens living in the 70's where music was so good. So many inventive bands with true singers, musicians and of course fabulous music. At 65 I still go back to these times and listen to the great music which has stood the test of time.

This goes out to my best friend Jason Krucas. May you rest in peace my friend. I love you Jason. I will never forget our good times together.

I'm listening to this for the first time in over 40 years. A tribute to an old friend that I lost yesterday. We had a special memory we shared with Argus on the turntable. RIP Hoz.

Yes it was album of the year in 1972. Forget glam rock - this, plus Close To The Edge and Thick As A Brick, were what was really going on !

I was 12 years old when this album was introduced to me, and in 1976:, at 16: I bought a Suzuki AP 50 sports moped
Rode all over the the English and Scottish borders in the never ending hot weather.
"Speeding" on the A1 got a shock when four nuns in an Austin A40 overtook me -never mind.
Wishbone Ash, Moped, hot 76.

1972. Argus and Piledriver.2 great groups of the day. Ash and Quo. Not comparing them before anyone starts.completely different but both great. Early Ash early Quo. I loved them both.

What made this band different and special was that they had two lead guitarists in Andy Powell and Ted Turner. They knew how to play off eachother. Brilliant!

When this album came out it blew me (and a lot of people) away. And it was during the very best era of rock
