They are fairly hot. A lot of bite. I usually use lower output with exaggerated mids. They are a bit like my Duncan Pegasus which has that bite. it is too bad they wouldn't lend you several in there line to hear what else they do :-) Thanx for the video its nice to get fresh perspectives especially as unlike a lot of reviewers you feature the gear and not the player. Great video Tony! $260 for the set (on their website) seems pricy. That’s $11 more than a set of Seymour Duncan “Saturday Night Special” also Alnico 4. I know you have used Iron Gear pickups in the past, have you tried/ compared these to the the “Blues Engine?” They are Alnico 4 and the Nickel set is $111 delivered. Thanks for putting out great gear reviews.

Do you notice any natural compression in these pickups? These pickups squash my dynamics. Which is weird since the resistance is near 8k.
