"I am completely qualified and ready for ministry" has never been said by anyone who knows Christ and has worked in ministry for more than a week. We are all supremely unqualified in and of ourselves. Like Moses, God makes us qualified. Great reminder.

I saw that clip just recently and couldn’t help but scoff. This unqualified man has helped bring me back to the feet of Jesus in the worst season of my life….when I no longer believed. I went to Bible college and was a youth pastor in my earlier years. I left the church I was serving to finish college. I have not been in full time ministry since then. The dream of being a pastor and leading a church has never died. Been working in the secular work place for nearly 13 years now because I wanted to make good money to provide for my family. I really want to be a pastor!

God calls different people for different reasons. We all have different experiences and personalities. You have a gift for reaching the younger generation like no one else I know today. You are cool, funny, enthusiastic, and insightful. You engage your young audience and they relate to you. I'm sorry but that theologian is "unqualified" to do the job YOU do. Steven, you ARE qualified for exactly the job God called you to.
