We’re putting up and preserving more of our favorites from the end of the year’s garden - Meg is canning tomato sauce and Ben is picking and drying hot peppers for powder. Ben is also getting a compost pile ready for this weekend’s pig class to deal with the offal.

Thanks for being real people doing life that we can relate with. Your place is so homey and comfortable, just wonder filled oozing out from your home. Thanks

I grew up with rice with fried cabbage being a common lunch meal. Still enjoy it today!

Ive been a long time subscriber to Backwoods Home and Self Reliance since its inception a few years ago. Totally agree about Countryside. I just let my subscription to Countryside run out. It used to be an awesome resource but unfortunately it went the same way as Mother Earth News. Love your channel! Many blessings to you and your family.

Wow you are teaching Buggy early. She will be the Queen of canning before she is even grown 😅 I remember helping my grandmother when I was little. Be Blessed

I can see Buggy, at Kindergarten Show and Tell, teaching all the other kiddies how to can veggies. Lol She is so sharp.

Thank you for explaining why we need to add acid/ citric Acid or lemon to the Tomatoes for water bath canning... I never liked Pressure canning so this is my preference as well... Btw.. your kids are all so good looking and baby is so cute!!

Where are you all? Haven't seen anything new from you for about 2 weeks now! I pray that everyone and everything is ok? 🤔

I’m already a subscriber to Backwoods Home and Self Reliance Magazines, and absolutely love them! I wish I had discovered them long before I did. It’s good to see the publisher reaching out to the YouTube homesteading channels.

That baby is so beautiful. She has the biggest blue eyes! Funny how the boys put on costumes to help make dinner yesterday. God bless your family!

I hope you all are doing well. I'm worried about you and your family because you haven't made a video in almost 2 weeks. I also don't remember hearing you say you're taking time off. If you did, then I'm sorry I forgot.❤

My dad would always pull his cayenne plants at the end of the season, before the last frost, and hang them upsode down in the barn to dry before it gets cold, then once they were all dry, he would pick them all off and powder in the blender. My cayenne plants got eaten by the moles 🤪
