The Barnett Quad 400 is another great crossbow from Barnett. This crossbow is somewhat bigger than cheaper Barnett crossbows like the recruit. This crossbow is in the $300 - $500 price range costing about $300 on Amazon at the moment. Some of the features it has that makes it unique or at least a good crossbow is the mechanical cranking system, has a 150 pound draw weight, shoots at 345 feet per second and has a gas assist stock with integrated cocking device attachment.

Other specifications of this crossbow includes it being able to exert 112 foot-pound of energy, comes standard with a red dot sight attached to it, is made in the US and has a 5 year limited warranty from Barnett. It’s about 26.75 by 37 inches and carries a 9 pound weight. Barnett has recently updated quad 400 to make it a better hunting tool and crossbow. New features have been added such as the gas assist function that I mentioned earlier, a thumb hole grip and increased arrow shooting speeds.

This composite bow is lighter than the previous version and makes cocking it a lot easier with the cocking device attachment. Most owners of the bow have been giving it a positive response and says it is pretty accurate, to hold whilst shooting, good range and lots of power when shooting bolts. However not everyone will have the same experience, but overall this bow has been given good reviews and at this moment while I’m writing this it’s rated about 4.3 stars out of 5 over at Amazon which is not bad for a crossbow.
