Hi, I am enjoying this content very interestingly in Korea and I often introduce it to my team members. Congratulations on your first anniversary and I cheer for you.

Awesome show, looking forward to further years 🥳
Oh also, GitHub Universe was awesome, and fortunately, I wasn't as tired as I feared the next days 😅

Congrats on the anniversary! Seems like just yesterday…

About the FS History project, the completely other level of coolness here is how relatively straight forward the approach to doing this is. So you’ve got some ancient x86 binary of FS here, but that’s okay since you can just disassemble it and recompile it targeting web assembly, with the necessary pit stops of emulating the CPU and all of the hardware (already done) and the small number of functions you actually need from libc. That last bit is just hilarious since although you have to do some hand motions to implement a working malloc(), you can implement free () as a no-op. Which initially struck me as a totally YOLO move except I guess clang will take out the garbage for you.

Anyway, because this is all on GitHub you can just bounce all over the code base to see how it really works without ever leaving your couch or your iPhone.

Anyway, I was kind of wondering how all the classics were being implemented on the browser and this is a very straightforward approach and one I’d recommend playing with.

One question for this! Is codespaces 60 hours for free or 120 for free? My dashboard is reporting 120 hours

Heya FYI it’s pronounced “Dee-no” like Fred Flintstone’s pet dinosaur, hence why their mascot is a dinosaur.

PLEASE please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please DO NOT overlap Universe with dotNetConf ever again! Having them up on two screens with competing sound and live chats was very tough to keep up with. There is something special about being a part of the live stream that is missed when having to catch up with replays.
