So, you're busy, huh? But are you productive?

So you’re busy, eh? …But are you productive?

People often confuse being busy with being productive. Not necessarily so. Yes you can be productive and be busy at the same time.

Most likely though you being busy isn’t the same as being productive.

The other day I posted a Short video talking about multitasking. Many people believe that they can be productive if they multitask their work. They think I’m multitasking and this makes me busy therefore I’m productive.

Nope. If you’re thinking that multitasking is the same as being productive because you’re busy…then you have another thought coming.

In the other short video I introduced you to the concept of the 90 minute blast session. YOu work on one task and only one task for 90 minutes. Get it done or as much of that task done in 90 minutes. Take a small break for 10 or 15 minutes, then get into another 90 minute session.

Now this is productive. You can still work on many things throughout the day, but during that 90 minute session you only have one thing to do. Period.

Not this is being productive.
