Lift does not drive

Being on top of a lift is a potentially risky situation, and when you realize that something isn't quite right it is rather scary.

If I had not followed procedure properly, and put it straight onto automatic, then I could have been on top of a lift not fully in control.

Please do not attempt to do any of my lift surfing stuff yourself. Although a lot of what I do looks fun, the lift surfing stuff is a totally different story. There are many dangers that you won't necessarily know about. It is very risky to copy what I do if you don't have much experience on the subject. By watching my videos doesn't mean that you now have the knowledge to safely lift surf yourself. At no point am I wanting people to copy what I do.

This is the message to every lift engineer who hates Beno because of he surfs the lifts.

Beno is the person who is very experienced in riding lifts. I mean seeing an every little detail in them. Sometimes I even can't understand him when he describes some very complicated things in lift logic. He is certainly not a person who would jump on top of the lift. Before lift surfing he check everything what could cause something going wrong. He sees if the place isn't too crowded, or if the normal controls doesn't work on manual mode. I think if he would want to be a lift engineer, one of major lift companies (I mean Otis or Kone) would hire him. He propably knows more about lifts than some of the lift engineers (especally those who work for generic lift companies - Apex or Oakland).

Beno's vids may look unprofessional because they are so fun. But everytime Beno says that there are many risks, but because of the videos' fun they may not be seen.

I just had to write it because of all of thw hate here.

This is a great reason why you should always follow procedure when lift surfing, thankfully since beno is experienced and had common sense unlike generic lift engineers and electricians (I'm an electrician myself) he was completely safe in everything he did, I appreciate your dedication to filming videos for the eyes of your dedicated audience

the clevices holding the ropes is the way schindler used to rope their lifts in the 70s, you split the ropes and pull them back into the clevice then you fill it up with lead, it takes a lot of time and patience, i dont know if they still use that method now.

i normally speed ppls voices up to listen to on u tube, this is the first time ive had to slow it down. even then there was a sporadic tempo change.

I have been in those lifts because i live in sutton and 2 things no 1 those lifts stink of wee and no 2 before those lifts were modernised they were old exprees lifts in a very good condition

U make ur lift surfing videos fun, but if I would surf a lift with you, you woudn't propably be as happy as in ur lift surfing vids, because it's fun to do this, but also very dangerous. Am I right?
