It amazes me that man was able to create a machine like this. That must have been one hell of a ride.

This is probably the most iconic footage of a rocket launch ever from NASA

Crazy to think that something that weighs nearly 3, 000 metric tonnes can be lifted off the ground and accelerated up past supersonic speeds vertically. It boggles the mind

This is very cool to think that people In the 60s were able to create this masterpiece

Astronauts described the feeling as riding on top of a bomb exploding beneath you. Looks exactly like that here.

Remember, this was built without a computer and still remains the most powerful of all time.

A machine is a solution to a complex problem. Getting to the moon and back in one piece is a very complex problem.

How much I envy the locals who were there to witness this historical moment directly. What an era. This was such an achievement. The prestige that any of the people who worked for this project is forever in their hearts. What a pride.

I don't care how BIG and bad ass SpaceX Starship is.
Nothing! NOTHING! – can match the majestic launch sequence of the - SATURN V - which first flew over half a century ago.🇺🇸

During the first manned launches the astronauts said at ignition the rocket felt alive. Engineers struggled for a code to be sent from the rocket to the hold down clamps for release at full power. Armstrong helped with the command on Apollo 11. At full power the rocket sent the signal to the clamps “ Let Me Go “
