WOW! Almost speechless from a truly STUNNING MOVIE!! No words do it justice and the performance and physical feats of Sadhbh are just jaw dropping, as is the cinematography and the sheer raw beauty of the locations! Absolutely flawless film! This deserves so many awards on so many levels.

I thought she really did go hiking alone and at the end someone actually found her. The experience landed her in a mental hospital. But after reading the comments I see it from another perspective. Good movie.

I think this is beautifully made, & told. As someone who has experienced loss, mental & physical health problems & battled addiction... I understood. You NEED to pull yourself up, yes there's help but it's YOUR mountain to climb. & if you fall there's no shame. Just KEEP trying. Everyday can be a battle. Really beautiful made & actress amazing. Many of you didn’t finish the movie, so here it is. She never left the hospital…she didn’t foolishly go climbing alone, the two men she encounters at the lighthouse are nurses. Jennifer is her psychiatrist and is describing (to the father) the stages of getting through temporary mental illness (the stages are all the things Hope went through, which is why Jennifer says Hope is improving). They replay the dad/daughter conversation to change the perspective from how Jennifer might have seen it to how it really happened and that’s when they bring the nurses back to show us who they were. There are moments in the movie where it seems like she’s going flat out crazy on her “survival” journey and that’s because that IS what’s happening. The actress deserves an award…phenomenal performance on sooo many levels…truly amazing. I was so confused most of the time, and wondering how time didn’t make sense and how she’d get from here to there…but that would seem to be part of the internal journey. The idea is to think about it after the fact, and I’m thinking about how she could see the other side several times, but each time, she managed to tumble back into darkness because ultimately, her mental illness has her…trapped in the depths of a cave.

All I can say is stay and watch till the end, I almost didn't because it seemed like it dragged a little and I didn't understand how she got from one place to another. Brilliant movie, sad movie.
