Some restaurant owners still do this in my country. They are the first to know if ingredients price increase in the market, but they remain their food price..
Sometimes they go and give extra items if the person took less food, for free.
They knew they will get so little profit or maybe none...😢
Mostly are elderly hawkers or restaurant owners, they just love giving to the community. Not many, but you can still find these kinda business owners.
