venti’s story quest NEVER fails to make me cry. I’m actually crying right now thinking about the “fly, fly away like a bird in the sky. See the world in my behalf…”

After reading through Genshin Impact Wiki. This is what i know.

The city of Old Mondstadt (the region now known as Stormterror's Lair) was ruled by Decarabian, The God of Storm over the past 2600 years ago. Decarabian surrounded the city of Old Mondstadt inside a storm barrier that wouldn't let anyone in or out. He do this to defend people of Old Monstadt from Lupus Boreas/Andrius (The big blue wolf) raging blizzards, and had given his people a city free from the icey cold. But to his people, it seemed he had locked them in, and was selfish and cruel. Yes, his people were not content in their stormy prison, and wanted to be free duh.

This is where Nameless Bard and Barbatos/Venti started to make a group of rebels. This Rebels consist of 4 major characters (watch 0:54) which are Nameless Bard, elemental spirit (Barbatos/Venti), Amos (The one holding Amos Bow the in game weapon who is also happen to be Decarabian's Ex-Lover) and a Ragnvindr Knight (Yes, its Diluc ancestor since Diluc full name is Diluc Ragnvindr). Not to forget, Boreas, for years, wanted to remove Decarabian from the region, but by himself was not strong enough to even make a scratch on the capital. Boreas join their force to defeat Decarabian. They won the war but at the cost of many lives including Nameless Bard and Amos (watch 1:10).

Aftermath, in the power vacuum that emerged with Decarabian's death, both Boreas and Barbatos were qualified to become the Anemo Archon in his stead. Boreas, believing himself incapable of the love for humanity required of an Archon, chose to forego the position. Barbatos took up the mantle and used his newfound power to take the form of the Nameless Bard—who died in the rebellion. He then renamed himself "Venti".

Also, the rebellion against Decarabian is a separate event from Vanessa's rebellion, which occurred around 1000 years later after Decarabian's Fall.

Venti's English voice actor did a great job! This one has become one of my favorite characters, while I didn't care much for him in the begining

Man, everyone is commenting about Venti and the story and the game, but is no one gonna notice how good a poem this is? Even out of context, it's a great poem about freedom, revolt and valour. I'm no literary expert, but I think this deserves more recognition. Anyone?

It is confirmed that Venti’s prototype is this boy. Barbatos creates its form based on the appearance of this boy who started the revolution, to commemorate this boy who fought for people’s freedom but never got the chance to see the birds, the sky and everything until the end of his

Venti (Barbatos) is a great god, in my personal opinion he does not want people in Mondstadt to be shackled again, he truly carries out the idea of ‘freedom’ and not ruling these people even though this will weaken his power as a must have admired this boy and decide to ‘become’ him and protect Mondstadt inheriting this becomes a bard and eulogize these stories that everyone should character goes to a whole different level with just a little ‘spirit’ born from the wind starts to have humanity with this ‘friend’, who Venti seen this boy

The story is actually great and clues for bigger picture hide in everywhere in item/weapon description, you can see the five-star bow (Amos’ Bow) in the game at 0:57, go check its story and you will understand why this game is great

When I finished Venti’s story quest, the Anemo god himself caught me slackin while I sobbed.

This is from Venti's Story when you hit AR36. After we find out why Stanley is calling himself Stanley to commemorate the death of his friend named Stanley who died saving him from an adventure, Venti explains that he also calls himself Venti after the person we see here...

It's a little unclear, but if you're paying close attention, the narrator in this video is Barbatos, who takes the form of the small white fairy thing in these pictures. The form of Venti we see here isn't Barbados yet! If you skip to 1:17, you'll see him seriously injured by two arrows. Not sure who the red haired person is at that point; perhaps another Archon, or an ancestor of Diluc?

The history of Mondstadt might as well be a Dark Souls lore.

Venti was once a tiny spirit that was trapped in Old Mondstadt due to the God of Storms.
When the boy cried for freedom, 3 would join their cause. An elf, a knight and a huntress.
The elf was the wield of Aquila Favonia, a foreign woman known as Favonius. Exiled from her tribe and enslaved in the city, she became one who sought freedom and justice, so she flew with the bard and wind, to free those who should. She would be the founder of the Church and Order. Now she is one with the gods, Vanessa remembered, the Eagle who flew for just and good.
The knight was a Knight of Boreas, who wields a sword large and heavy. He had a friend, a wolf trapped with him in the City of the Shackled. Both fought to let their spirit run wild. When the wolf passed, his sword became it's gravestone, but the wolf will live on as spirit of the Wind. The Wolf still howls for the land it calls home.
The huntress felt love for a man who knew not her love. Blind to his tyranny and love with sincerity, she yearned for his gaze to stare at her lovingly. However when the winds of freedom blew, her arrows would follow. His gaze shall be met, with the tip of Amos' arrow. The Lion gains her roar, and it's for no Tyrant no more.
When the symbol of freedom died, his spirit took form. He sings songs of triumph, freedom and just, all with the price, of a little alcohol. A dragon would then come, curious about life, lured by song and gained a friend for life.

god i usually don't like dubs but MAN I am loving all the voice acting coming from these. might just play this game in english for once. LOVED whoever voice acted this
