Roberts R707 Radio - Easy fix

I bought this radio for parts or not working - with the most basic of descriptions - not working, tuning problem.

This is one of my most liked Roberts and i have 2 had a problem with station drifting on both solved the problem by switching off the AFC tune in then put the AFC back on they work well

Very nice looking radio. That was my kinda radio repair. It is great to ot have to go deep into diagnostics to reapir such a noce radio. I am confident you have the skill and technology but it is two thumbs up for sure as you've said. Congrats on an easy repair. Just a little more pot cleaning and it will be good.

Nice Job Paul You Were Very Lucky You Did Not Have To Do The Module I Have 4 707s And I Did The Module In One And It Was a Nightmare But I Fixed It The Second One Was Like Yours And Only Needed The Switches Cleaned The Last 2 707s Need The Modules Done Building Up Courage To Do Them In The Future. Here's a piece of trivia Paul. The label on the module has the word replacement spelled wrong. Wonder how that slipped through the factory? ATB Doug.

I’ve got one of these where the band selector buttons won’t latch. Can’t work out how they work.

I have a Roberts duologic radio, I haven’t used it for many years, and I recently bought a new mains cable, plugged it in and it comes on but won’t do anything but show charge light and solid matrixes. Tried everything the manual suggests but no joy. I don’t use batteries with it and the charge switch is in the off position. Any ideas?
