Amazing piece, first two movements and final are excellent studies in orchestration and counterpoint

Thank you so much for uploading this recording of one of the first band masterpieces with the score; it's good to know that you are still periodically active! I had the pleasure of playing this piece for the first time last year with my university's wind band (first chair saxophone); I was almost immediately convinced of Jacob's mastery of orchestration from the first sight-read - to say nothing of Byrd's melodic and contrapuntal skill. I also appreciate the fact that you've used the short/conductor's score, which makes the interweaving of the lines much easier to follow. Many thanks again!

One of my favorites. I do not know who this is, but do miss the prominent cymbal splash at the end of The Bells in the Eastman Wind Ensemble rendition.
