'From The Sunrise' (feat. Abe Laboriel & Justo Almario) | Psalm 33 Sessions

This song was written from Psalms 113:3. The groove was inspired from a song Justo Almario wrote entitled, "Abrazos y Besos." Through my many blessed years of playing worship music with Justo at our church, Christian Assembly, I learned many Latin rhythms which I did my best to incorporate into my songwriting.

A funny story about writing this song is: I was giving my son Jake a bath when he was about one year old (he's 33 now), and suddenly the whole song came to me. I had to keep singing it so I wouldn't forget it. I always tell songwriters to be ready whenever inspiration strikes!

Regarding this video, I always wanted to play this song with both Justo and Abraham Laboriel, two of my biggest heroes, and now here it is. What a joy! And yes, Bryan Taylor did an incredible job on percussion as always. A huge thank you to all three of you, to Carlos Gallardo-Candia for a great mix, and to all our TWM Partners and donors who make all of this and so much more in our ministry possible!

I grew up listening to Mr. Abe Laboriel and Mr. Justo Almario playing at Hosanna! Music alongside Dr. Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, Alvin Slaughter and others... What a pleasure to hear them again on this worship project! God bless you all! Greetings from Brazil!

Nothing better than seeing believers believe what they are singing and truly worship the God without lights, without smoke, without gimmicks just sweat earned talent and dedication to God of All Creation and love for the cross that brings us into Christ.

I listened to this song in 1994 when I was in college on a Live Warship album. It's been about 30 years and it's still a beautiful, wonderful song. The emotion of beautiful praise doesn't change over time.

When I became a Christian one of the first bands I listened to was, Koinonia. I played that tape out till out till I couldn’t hear it anymore.

You guys have no idea what your Ministry of The Fathers influenced music had on me. 24 years in The US Navy and this music traveled with me. I even saw y’all, as we say down south, in San Fran back in the early 90s.

Jesus prayed, Thy Will be done on earth AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!

DO THE GOSPEL ALL THE TIME WITH INTENTION. WE DON’T DO THE THINGS THE WORLD DOES BECAUSE, WE ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD!!!

I remember all the hard work we put in to learn this song for the concert we had in Ndola, Zambia. It was an honor to be the Zambian choir director for the Heal our Land project.
