Well that didn't go well. Felt like I was on ice!

There'll be more soon, I just wanted to document what the new-plane experience is like.

A few decades ago, I did airfield lighting installation and repair work, at EWR and LGA. Industrial Electrician. We used self-fusing tape a lot, but I never knew it had an alternate name F4 tape, based on the Phantom. Thanks for the info. As they learn something new everyday. 😅

I also turned off the "head tracker thing" for the Jester menu as it was driving me insane - or adding to my insanity I should say....I have had one weird accident on take off and I do not think I was holding in the NWS button as I am used to the F5E and usually release that just before starting the take off and I do not think I pushed any of the brakes, but I did go straight off to the left of the runway and damaged my gear.

were you still holding NWS when on your takeoff run? Or tapping a toe brake on accident? Or was that just rudder alone?
