Baby pine martens in the forest

At the end of May I was getting very excited to find out if mother Hazel had kits again or not. At that time it had already been several months since I was able to recognise her on the footage. Was she even still alive? Presumably she's already 7 years old or even older, a tough lady! She had kits in 2018-2019-2021-2022 and 2023 (not in covid year 2020). Each time two or three young appeared on the videos.

The 24th of May this year: a video of two pine martens, one of which seems to have a very smooth, cigar-like tail - a kit? I had to wait until the 11th of June before one of the cameras managed to record a video of 4 pine martens. Hooray, once more there are young pine martens in the forest 😍 And yes, our Hazel is an excellent mice catcher.
