South Korea is another longtime US ally. From that standpoint, adding South Korea makes sense. But before the QUAD grows beyond a partnership into an alliance, the USA need to sit down with India - TOGETHER- and decide how to align their interests and needs by talking to (not AT) and understanding each other. It would be best if the USA started to make more defense systems available to India, and India and the USA worked together on some smaller projects.

There is no reason that the USA and India cannot make good friends and allies eventually. But BOTH SIDEs need to recognize each other's concerns and problems. Both are English speaking democracies, both broke away from colonial rule, both believe in pretty much the same values. What is missing is the experience of working together with mutual understanding and respect. That needs to happen before the QUAD starts becoming an alliance.
