It helps enormously if you have some level of natural curl in your hair. You cannot do this with dead straight hair. Then add I fine, straight hair forget it. Dominique bless her has lovely curls to play with and thick hair. Makes all the difference.

Learnt this from my mother. Hairdresser for more than 40 years.

Thank you so much for showing us how to work with our hair to avoid the dated look. I had hair to my waist then cut it 4 months ago. I've been walking around with an elderly lady cut. The thing with the clips is absolutely genius! It really works! I'm always fighting a cowlick in the back of my head right behind the crown and this really helps straighten things out in the morning also. I absolutely love the way your hair is growing out also. In fact I'm going to show it to my hairdresser and tell her that's what I'm looking for, all that weight behind the ears is gone and you get all that height at the top. The best of both worlds!

Hi Dominique, I had been watching your videos for many years, but had a long break recently and have just discovered your new shorter & darker hair and to be honest, glad if you are growing it back. It suits you much when it's slightly longer and you have more volume around and above your forehead - examples of that can be found in your videos from 5 years ago. Also, highlights make your eyes sparkle - you look more interesting than with plane dark hair. Sorry for this advice, but it's sincere and thank you for being there for your audience, you are my role model :)
