When this sneaker authenticity program was implemented we tested it.
They failed twice lol. (Out of the 9 pairs)
Two pairs that we KNEW were fake were passed as authentic. This is proof that bootleggers are becoming more and more precise and THAT is scary as you have said.

I bought some Air Jordan 1s off eBay Australia using their authenticity guarantee yet they were still 100% *fake*. I looked up the terms and conditions, and eBay don't even mention who authenticates the sneakers. They only say that the '"package is checked to verify that the contents are consistent with the listing title, description and images". This service is not at all genuine and is scamming buyers by making them think their purchase is safe.

if i listed the shoes as new original box but the toe box has a slight crease because of the leather being so soft will it get denied ? should i re list as used? @sneakertalk

Question, when you buy sneakers on ebay, do you see if the seller has them in hand or sellers that upload a photo of confirmed orders without the shoe in hand?

Absolutely not.. I sold some shoes that I bought in store and they ripped the tags off them and sent them back as unauthentic

My experience was 50/50 lol. I bough Neutral Greys when they released, and they ended up throwing out the individual paper wrappings and one of the inserts 💀

You actually don’t need the app. You just have to hold your phone near the tag and it will pop up on the screen.

Wouldn’t recommend this service at all. Took over 1 month to realise my order hasn’t arrived and then once realised stated it had been lost. Now prices for the trainer are £200 more which means I lost out big! Wouldn’t recommend

You can't. I placed some Air Jordan 11 Space Jams on ebay. They sold and I shipped them to the ebay "authenticator".

I received a message stating "unable to verify authenticity". 🤔😳 The shoes were purchased from Finish line in 2016. So Finishline sold me fake sneakers? 🤣🤣🤣 Nah. I doubt it.

I'm not upset about it but it does shed light on the human error factor.

It's basically saying if Ebays authenticators can't tell if a shoe is authentic then they're going to ere on the side of caution and say it's fake. 🤨🙄

What's the best option to not have to pay custom duties and taxes? I'm also from Canada and bought some undftd af1 5 on it and had to pay those charges to FedEx. Before I'd buy on eBay and those sellers would mark the value to under 30 dollars, not the case anymore. Edit: Also if the buy is from Canada would they ship it so sneaker con in us then would cross border back into Canada?

question. what if its an authenticity guarantee, but the seller has 0 reputation? Personally I wouldnt buy it, but has anybody had experience doing so?
