Splash animation - using NEW tapered shape strokes | After Effects Tutorial

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to create these liquid splashes using After Effect’s new tapered shape strokes!

In Version 17.1. of After Effect’s there is actually some new stuff!
In "stroke", there are two new attributes called "taper" and "wave".

We use these to first of all create and animate a splatter, then a whole splash.
Then we add a little ring of smoke to that liquid splash animation.

It already looks a lot like cell animation, but to get even closer we add an adjustment layer and posterize time to a framerate of 12 frames per second.
