Hi! New subscriber here 😊 I’m a Filipina residing in the UK and have been dreaming of owning Holbein paints for a while! I was originally inlove with watercolours but I have been watching gouache artists’ paintings more and more lately. I’ve only ever used Himi gouache and although I liked it, I wasn’t exactly won over enough to keep exploring gouache. With that very long info, I found some sales here in the UK for Holbein gouache and finally took that step into owning a set! I saw your channel and was very impressed with your painting! I’ll keep watching and hopefully I fall in love with gouache too. Awesome channel by the way ❤

I actually bought the 18 gouache set because the paint looked so nice to work with in your videos ☺ It is pricey here in Europe but the colors are sooo vibrant and pigmented that it is worth it to me :)

After the holidays I'm finally able to save up for some more gouache from Holbein. Definitely picking up the Japonica Yellow, Pale Coral smoked bamboo, elm green and Bellflower. I'm a sucker for rich earthy colors as well as a bit of brightness in the works. The bright colors come in so handy for touches of highlights. Love how your piece turned out!

I have the 12 set of 5ml size. There are times when I wish I had other colors, but most of the time I’m able to mix what I need with them. I was just using them last night to paint a landscape. :)

I do want to try the Acrylic Gouache, because sometimes I muddy my colors when I reactivate the layers underneath.

this looks incredible! I'd love to try out holbein paints one day, you're right they're pretty pricey in europe though, that's why I've stuck with winsor & newton. Also, how did I never realise the fancy holbein sets were based on seasons?? 😮😂😂
