Lots to think about from this video, you make some interesting points. I’m glad that you mentioned that we don’t know Brandon’s intention for the focus and direction of the entries to come in the series.

It may be the case that it’s his intention to really dig down on the organization of the knights radiant in the second half of the series. At that point enough time will have passed that some of our current characters may officially be leading the orders and we may see them struggling with developing an offical structure and philosophy for how their orders operate within the greater organization and the world. It might be intentional that the inception of the orders in Oathbringer and ROW are under emphasized and unorganized. The characters are focused outwardly right now on the crisis in the world. If things stablize a bit after book 5, we may see the struggle to form a formidable organization and coherent orders unfold within that calm before a second storm.

Like I said I think you make alot of valid points about some of the parts that currently feel a little unsatisfactory at this point if the series. I’ll certainly be thinking about this video further.

I read the first 2 books ....never going back to finish. Sanderson books drag ass for 800 pages then gets going. Too much fluff and I feel this is more geared for young adults, not peeps in mid life. Tolkien is better

I'm 63% into Way of Kings, and it's ass so far. Does it get better?

It’s weird, Stormlight is my second favorite series of all time. All of the books are 5 stars. But yes, it’s very clear to me that books 1 and 2 are better than books 3 and 4. I think my biggest “issue” if you can even call it that is that books 1 and 2 are a lot more mysterious, everything still feels more mystical and surreal. But then books 3 and 4, there’s a lot of reveals and explanations of everything, where everything is starting to get explained, still very cool, but slowly losing a bit of the mysticism. Specially in book 4 where Navani is studying the magic and we get so much explanation for everything, it was good, but not my favorite. I guess with me loving psychology, I loved Shallan’s chapters and reading the series and realizing what she’s dealing with (DID) I thought it was fascinating. My other main issue with ROW is the flashback chapters didn’t really do much for me, but luckily there’s a lot less of them in book 4 than in previous books. I did like them, but Kaladin, Shallan, and Dalinar were way better flashbacks. So yes, thanks for this video. I think it’s very important to point out your flaws with everything, even if it’s something you absolutely love. Like I said Stormlight is my second favorite series, but it’s definitely not perfect
