I will go ahead and share a glitch of my own I haven't seen many people talk about. I had no idea that the potential changed but I used to do the same thing to take advantage of a financial glitch. Once you have loaned out a player, you can go to the finance tab and set the bar so that your "new wage budget" is at zero (0). After that you go back and recall your player. But because your wage budget is at zero they can't deduct his wages anymore and they basically need to add that new wage to your budget out of thin air. The recall fee is very little in comparison with what you are gaining with the new wage being placed back to your budget. Obviously the larger the wages the better, so its best to do this with your top players regardless of their age and potential.

Also, this is very helpful at the end of the season where you have a remaining transfer budget you can't transfer over to the next season. You can just switch the bar to the opposite now and maximize your new wage budget. After that you just give a huge wage increase to one of your players or buy a new player you won't use (free agent too). Once you head into the next season you can either sell that guy and have his wage changed back to transfer budget or even better place him for loan and perform the glitch every time he gets loaned out.

You can actually continue to glitch them past 21, just watch their value increase. You won't have the "has potential to be special" and that stuff, but you are still increasing them

do you have to disallow bids every season or just that season you glitched it? and is there any limits to glitch players per season?

Once you've glitched a players potential, can you train them? Or do you just leave them, maybe play them occasionally, and let them grow automatically?.

About how many times on average do we need to reload the game after saving to get a change in potential?

I am playing fifa17 on xbox360, 2nd season, tried 2 guys 21yrs old one "great potential" the other "exciting prospect". Both got loaned out on short term and saved afterwards. I've tried 10 times so far after recall and no change.
