The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity trailers are blowing everyone's minds- and the recent yiga clan trailer stood out for several reasons! Breath of the Wild's Master Kohga is apparently making an appearance, along with an unnamed blademaster and a mysterious hooded figure (fortune teller, duh). Could it be that there's a lot more than meets the eye to the big yiga guy? Join me as we analyze and theorize!

Watching this after the release, hearing sooga being called Big Boy™ is the actual best thing I love it

I'm going with 'Big Boi' being Kohga, but not the Kohga we see at the time of breath of the wild. The Kohga we see in the trailer is simply an ancestor of current Kohga, and so is 'Big Boi'. We do have proof that Current-Kohga's ancestors were ALSO leaders of the Yiga Clan, judging by the phrase "technique passed down from my fathers' mother's father".

Remember the 8th heroine, I think it's the woman from the new Hyrule Warriors trailer (maybe the fortune teller.) After all, she is a Gerudo (with gold yes) and in-game, it said that the 8th heroine is still worshiped by the people in the Gerudo highlands (the yiga) and we see the Yiga soldiers worshiping the woman at the end of the trailer. This might also explain why the statue of the 8th heroine is near the area where the Yiga are located near.

I think the best/most fun theory is that “big boy” is a sort of Master Kohga in training. It would make sense as to why there’s so many similarities in regard to the armor and why he’s always at Master Kohga’s side.
I forgot to add this before but this would also mean that “big boy” is breath of the wild’s master kohga

MaskedNintendoBandit at 2:00: Notice anything different about it?

Me (in my head): The crack mask.

MaskedNintendoBandit says nothing about it.

This is interesting thou. It may be trying to tell us that his mask will break, and will finally get to see what he looks like under his mask.

Purah was actually *older* and taller in the past, since she de-aged herself nearly into oblivion prior to the events of Breath of the Wild.

Whoever Big Boy actually is, I feel the horns on the mask may signify rank, like stripes on a military insignia. He has one because he's rising in the ranks, while Master Kohga gets three because He's The Boss.

I’m actually more inclined towards #2 or #3 because he says something different in the Latin American trailer.
Instead of “Look what you did”, he says “Tenemos visitas” which translates to “We have visitors”, most likely referring to Zelda, Urbosa and Link.

7:20 So basically the Sheikah become very small when they get older, while the Yiga become fat?

Everybody was talking about the hooded figure, but this blademaster was who I was wondering about.

Edit: I believe that the short pudgy Kohga is actually Kohga's father, and that the blademaster is the younger version of post calamity Kohga.

Everyone: Who's the Yiga Blade Master?
Me: There was *another* Age of Calamity trailer?

Is it just me or have we gotten exponentially more about this game in a week than we've gotten about Breath of the Wild 2...ever?

Well, it's not fair for me to say that, because 0 multiplied by anything is still 0.

I certainly can't wait to find out who he is!

I think your time travel theory is actually right! We saw in the demo that the white guardian also time travels. What if time travel is a sheikah power and Kohga accidentally time travels?

That line should've been *"Purah looks OLDER and taller."
Because well. She's "8" when we see her originally.

Mysterious hooded figure: That blonde hair and the way the braid hung down in front of their face like that had brief images of a twisted version of the original Impa come to mind.

Mysterious Blademaster: Due to the way he has similar clothes to Khoga's, but less elaborate, suggests he is a younger brother.
