The Blazing Pianos showcase at the Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival included this beautiful rendition by Gerald Wolfe (founding member of Greater Vision, and pianist for The Cathedrals in the mid-'80s). This was performed April 28, 2012, at the convention center in Visalia, California.

I recently discovered the Hymn Sing videos on my YT feed. I have followed the Gaithers since 1991 & met Bill at a Homecoming concert in So CA in Jan. 2011. A very sweet, unpretentious man of God. I discovered Greater Vision (& thus Gerald Wolfe) in the early ‘2000s. Loved this guy immediately. He has a heart for the Lord, is honest, genuine, a people lover, humorous. He is the perfect person to lead a church & choir in a hymn sing. And what a beautiful pianist he is! So unfortunate he has had voice impairment problems the past few years, but he can still play the gorgeous piano pieces! ❤️❤️✝️

Gerald wears so many hats: singer, author, arranger, minister, producer, master of ceremonies, businessman, etc., it becomes so easy to forget just how good he is just sitting there enjoying playing a piano. Add to that some of greatest and most important lyrics in history, "Great is Thy faithfulness, LORD unto

Gerald is without a doubt the most versatile and multi-talented man in gospel music today.

Some of my most memorable times of playing in my church were those times I was asked to just sit and play. The Lord has a way of bringing songs that need to be heard to your heart during those times. Songs that are cherished and loved by all those in the church. To just sit in silence and play and then hear the harmonious humming of the audience rise from the silence is something that all pianists loves to hear and feel. It is in these times that God moves thru a crowd with purpose and brings conviction to those who are waining, comfort to those who are in struggles or sorry, peace to those who are in torment and reassurance to those who are going thru silent troubles and are unsure in their path. We serve a gracious and Almighty God. He loves ALL of His children. He will never leave or nor forsake us.

All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided, Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

This is one of my favorite hymns of all time. Over the 15 years I played as a church pianist in different churches, this is one of the songs I found myself playing during my "my time". The times where I would sit at the piano with no one else in the sanctuary but me and the Holy Spirit. God is so faithful to us, yet many times we are so unfaithful to Him. But He never leaves us nor turns His back on us. God is the most faithful friend we can and will ever have. Thank you, Lord for Your faithfulness to us, even though we don't deserve it.

Gerald, I would live to know the next time you are in Texas to do a hymn sing. I'm from the DFW metroplex and would love to attend one of your hymn sings. I am the Music Minister of a Baptist Church about 40 or so miles south west of the Ft. Worth area. We sing from the hymnal.

Beautiful arrangement -- what a shame it wasn't played on a Steinway concert grand.

Your playing is great, but where did you get that piano? It sounds like the old upright piano.
