DEATH BATTLE's Pheonix vs Raven debunked!!

Today I will be debunking DEATH BATTLE's Phoenix vs Raven video because of the ridiculous amount of downplay they gave to the Phoenix

What pissed me off the most about this fight was how openly dishonest it was. "Raven even held off an attack by Unbound Spectre!" I've read that comic, and in literally the very next panel, Raven is on the ground, borderline unconscious, thoroughly defeated and unable to defend herself. She held off Spectre for one entire second. That's not grounds to scale. Between that and the complete misrepresentation of Unkindness, this is one of the few episodes that isn't just inaccurate; whoever did the research was actively lying, whether intentionally or just out of laziness.

Thanks for making this. l was waiting for debunk videos of this battle because it was really questionable. I don't think raven is weak at all but l just don't agree with the outcome.

Raven's soul self doesn't make her immortal it's been shown completely overpowered by damage, destroyed, shattered into millions pieces the phoenix force is too OVERPOWER AND SUPER BROKEN A OMNIVERSAL BEING and one the other entities like the black winter and god tempest no matter what she killed she'll keep come back multiple time and better healing raven's soul self cannot heal herself PHOENIX STOMPS RAVEN TO WIN

The logic of the DB community in a nut shell
When Marvel wins - Get over it, nothing DB has ever said was wrong

When DC wins - They downplayed a Marvel character and nitpicked just to make a DC character win

And regarding your debunks here are my responses.

"Trigon and Spectre don't scale to The True Phoenix and Phoenix scales to beings above Spectre and Trigon"



"Raven doesn't completely scale to Spectre"

- On this I agree... to a certain extent, it is true that Raven briefly fought Spectre and needed help to take him down, but the fact that she was able to briefly fight him at all is proof enough that she is above multiversal.

"Saying that one character can beat the other one because she fought opponents similar to the opposing character without proper evidence is headcanon"

- Same can be said on The Phoenix's side

" They say in the popup box that even if there is mysterium in the WHR it won't help because she hasn't used it Just because she doesn't do something directly doesn't mean she can't do it, when she stated to have access to the WHR"

- I mean they can't just assume she will use it at the heat of the moment in a fight especially that she hasn't done it, we won't know the process of how she will use the anti magic properties of the WHR and most importantly how reliable is having the Phoenix bring Raven to WHR anyway, this isn't like Overspace where Ant Man just needs to disable the bio belt of Atom and then bring him to Overspace

"They say Tiger God was able to fight Phoenix in WHR therefore Raven can fight and beat her, first of all it was just a test and Phoenix wasn't going all out"

- The fact that Tiger God was still even able to fight her in the first place is proof enough that she isn't unstoppable that's what Death Battle was pointing out. To further support this, Teen Jean and the Adversary were once able to disrupt the the control the Phoenix has in WHR, further supporting that Phoenix isn't unstoppable.

"Raven isn't completely unstoppable in her realm"

- Where did Death Battle state that she is unstoppable in her realm? Unless I am wrong, don't put words in their mouth just to prove your point that's just dumb

"Jean could simply overload Raven's mind"

- What does Trigon do to Raven again?

"Funny how DB nitpicked on the WHR and ignore contradictions on Raven's side"

- And then you proceed to do the exact same thing

"They say Raven was able to escape interdimensional realms and couldn't be trapped in WHR, escaping Hell based realms is nothing compared to WHR, you can't compare hell to WHR considering WHR is the second highest point in Marvel, escaping Hell doesn't automatically mean you can do the same thing to WHR"


"They say Phoenix can burn souls ignorin the fact that it is the fires of the Phoenix a conceptual entity which means her fires won't only affect you but also on a conceptual level"

- A scan would be so appreciated otherwise you're just pulling stuff out of your ass. I am willing to be proven wrong if you give me a scan about this.

"Then they proceed to mention that Phoenix cannot defend their hosts from soul attacks ignoring the fact that the Phoenix hosts can survive Hellfire which burns souls"

- Perhaps Death Battle made poor choice of words, they could've meant that Phoenix can't defend soul attacks from someone like Raven, but if they genuinely think Phoenix has no defense against soul based attacks despite evidence that it does, then I will admit it's a mistake on DB's part

"Raven can't use soul attacks on Phoenix because it is a conceptual entity, killing it would require you to destroy the very concept it represents, soul haxes only affects soul based beings it won't do a damn thing to beings who are purely conceptual"

- If I recall correctly, the Phoenix's mind was altered throughout the Dark Phoenix Saga, was affected by a mental attack, Necrom was able to tear the Phoenix force out of Feron, Phoenix got expelled from each of the Phoenix five, was at one point forced out of Thane and if I recall correctly Scarlet Witch along with Hope were able to at least briefly erase the Phoenix, pretty vulnerable for a conceptual entity ain't it?

"Even if Raven could absorb Phoenix, she could simply direct her power back to her"

- Raven absorbs souls and make it a part of her soul self, so I find this idea that she could simply direct her power back to her a bit questionable but hey if I am wrong then I am wrong

"Raven would get overloaded if she absorbs the Phoenix force she was literally passing out when she was absorbing the four horsemen"

- She still accomplished her goal of absorbing the four horsemen that turned into the Unkindness, a form that could end all creation, bottomline she succeeded.

"Also Raven's soul self isn't completely immortal it can be destroyed and damaged"

- Why do you think Death Battle mentioned, "Soul self can regenerate from complete disintegration"

to say that you dont hate raven but then debunk everything they got wrong about her without addressing everything they got wrong about the phoenix in itself contradicts you saying "i dont hate raven". actions speak louder than words, just because you say something doesn't mean its valid until you prove it with actions, and so far you haven't.
