I love how two complete opposites, as these two bikes are, can transmit you the same: a fun bike side to side for your weekend rides on some twisty road

I have an 22' MT-07. I have been traveling the western US riding all over. I've put 18k miles on the bike in less than 1.5 years. This bike is bullet proof. I've road dirt, sand, mud and street. I'm just about to get my 3rd set of tires. Nothing but regular maintenance. So much fun and sounds amazing with an aftermarket pipe.

3:30 that ZX4RR sounds great! I just fitted an Akrapovic to my CB650R recently. Very similar sound.

I’d like to leave a big shout out to y’all in this channel, Ty’s for being around spreading so much information. I finally took courage to get me a wonderful 22/23 mt-07. And being a completely noob about I’ve never been so excited 🎉🎉🎉

Doing my UK motorcycle tests tomorrow and the day after. After training on the MT-07, I've found it very stable at low speed, a very smooth throttle and clutch, with oodles of torque. It will be my first big bike. It feels like a great beginner's bike, as long as you're sensible. The only quirks are the clunk getting into 1st and the tiny indicator switch.

HOLY CRAP! I just commented this question on yesterday's video that I was torn between the 4R and the 07, and today Yammie drops a whole video as the answer.
Thanks Papa Yam!

I just traded in my 2021 MT07 for a ZX4RR. Oh what a difference. I rode it on the same country twisty's that I rode my 2021 MT07 on and what a surprise. I have 2 cruisers, one being a 2022 Heritage and the other a 2018 1200 Iron Sportster. I wanted something for a little more excitement so I bought an MT07. It was a fine bike but I just didn't think the parallel twins were all that sporty. They didn't sound like a bike that I liked. The torque comes on like a hammer and I'm not into wheelies. I like carving in the country and I have several roads around me, close that I carve. The ZX4RR is perfect for that. The difference between the 2 was amazing. I'm a very young 69 year old with over 50 years of riding experience. I owned a Ninja 600 E in my 40's and 50's. Beautiful bike and I loved it. But then I got a touring bike for me and the wife so I had to sell it. I've also owned an 09 Triumph Street Triple. I still have a big picture of it on the wall in my garage. I loved it but it was starting to leak oil so I traded it in on an M8 Street Glide. I digress. I wasn't getting the excitement out of the MT07 that I wanted but this ZX4RR seems to have been made just for me. I've only had one good day of riding besides riding it back 40 miles from the dealer. So this is the next morning and I couldn't sleep very well last night thinking about which road I was going to ride on the following day. I'm still excited to play with my new toy. I'm learning more and more about the KQS and riding mods. The Sport is really good but the Road mod seems better suited for around town for stop and go traffic. It seems the influencers are working with the motorcycle industries to promote parallel twins so they can save some production costs and make more money. I enjoy bikes that stirs the soul like the sound of a Harley and 4 and 3 cylinders. I also owned 2012 Bonnie. I still think the 360 degree sounds better then the 270 cranks. Especially with Predator exhaust British Custom. Maybe I should write a book. I'm just a rambling old man with lots of experience. My videos shows what a very young man I really am. Follow me on Youtube. Yammy if you are ever in Kentucky let me know an we can do some riding together.

But don't forget that you can do small simple upgrades to the mt-07 to make it better for instance bit a little thicker fork oil in the forks that will take away sponginess in the front and then put a smaller rear sprocket and that will take some of the torque away and add a little speed 😁 that's what I did to my bike and it works 😁

Would take the 4RR if at the same price point due to the fact that I can do both track days and improve my skill even more as well as daily it without too much worries.

Interesting. 31" is about the seat height on my San Quentin 2 with the dropper compressed. Also, I've always felt that the MT07 riding position would be the most comfortable for me coming from mountain biking.

The ZX is super pretty, but man the MT 07 is what I would pick too the ZX is just too unnecessary complicated for me.

Zxr400rr would be a dream bike for a beginner. Learn all the basics then have the ecu flash. Thats like upgrading a bike with the same bike.

Damn, gotta stick to the longboard 🛹
Maybe next time, good luck to ya 🍀

I own both of these bikes and I would NEVER recommend the MT-07 to a beginner. That bike wheelies way to easy for that.

I'd go for the MT07 for sure. The upright seating position is much more comfortable and beginner friendly. With a sports bike you'll be tempted to lean on the bar and/or you'll be tempted to ride with straight arms, both of which are dangerous habits and hard to get rid of.
