I had the invite code for the Jumpman FlightClub and was there when the Eminem 2s dropped! Although I really just wanted the 15s. Don't remember any shoes besides those really dropping on there, I miss my 2007 pair now that I realize the tongue on the was exactly like the originals, like Jordan's tongue when he was dunking! also not sure if you missed it but the copper tips also were a nice touch...

I let out a legit laugh when you said "the one the they do have in common is the glue stains". It's like, some things never change. On another note, ordered mine off the SNKR APP today. My original plan was to get them in person today since EVERYWHERE was FCFS and let's face it, these didn't sell worth shit when bought every colorway back in 2000 so I know they ain't gonna now. So I got up, started getting fly to stunt as I do for any in person pickup, warmed the M3 up (shit was 25 degrees here in Atlanta), and then out of nowhere got overcome with sickness. Said "F" it and laid back down and just ordered off the app. Slept all day and deep into the evening I stopped into the Mall of Ga and an hour before closing every store still had some, lol. I got a chance to check the quality on the Display model and immediately the depression set over me. As I've said, at 34 years young I'm finally getting to those retros that I was apart of the initial first runs so not only do they mean a lot to me, but I know EXACTLY what OG quality should feel like. All I can say is what a disappointment! Throughout the last couple of years I've heard "OG quality this" and "OG quality that" and honestly could never figure out what the big deal was. I've been "collecting" my whole life, but for real for real with my current size since the XII's dropped. Each year I'd buy about three releases on average, sometimes more and sometimes less....when you've got other expensive hobbies like modifying elite cars and collecting retro video games you gotta draw the line. It wasn't until these past couple of years where I went in hard. Fock four a year, welcome to four a month! But, thanks to you more than ANYONE, I realized just how bad the quality is vs the OG's and I miss when I was naive and either forgot, couldn't remember, or didn't care. In '99 things ramped up for me and I was buying shoes! I was one of the few who was in line (what lines, lol) for all 15 and up cause no one cared. Sure, some have become more beloved and grown followings. My 21 red suedes are still mint as are my white/black/hits of red 22'z"s. Final point is ai can FINALLY see the piss poor quality and it makes my blood boil

Just picked up the 2017 retro and I disagree with you, I must say I was impressed and actually like them more than the 2007 release, had to put the guy on footlocker on game, I copped for nostalgic reasons these bring me back to 2000 when I was a kid, hype beast

The closest Footlocker or Footaction to me that's carrying these shoes is 70+ miles away.. might have to make that trip though cause I like the model a lot and they don't release to many XV's and I've never owned a pair. Great video!

up until 2006 Jordan brand had good quality and then went of the deppend I was still getting them of course but when Thay remastered them I was happy to see better quality leather again

I had the grey and white pair in 9th grade. From my memory they weren't that comfortable (I played ball in them) and I still have marks on my toe from them (I have a wide foot)

hope the bred version will be released this year. it seems the 2017 version is better the 2007 version but the leather and the insole are not that great compare with 2007.

They made the 2017 more like the OG. I know you didn't have them but if you saw they're cut just like the originals.
