Teens are these days really into skincare and it makes me happy. When I was a teenager I had to take Accutan but my mom said it wasn’t necessary to apply sunscreen so she didn’t bought me one. My derm didn’t want to argue with her but he urged me to at least protect myself from the sun by taking an umbrella, wearing glasses and a hat when I went out. I looked so fucking ridiculous that everyone in school made fun of me for couple of months 🤦🏻‍♀️ I still have sun spots all over my face even though I use vitamin C, tretinoin and chemical exfoliates religiously. Now my sunscreen is my best friend.

I mean many teens have skin issues. Acne leaves hyperpigmentation so they might be already interested in stuff like vit c. Acne scars and marks don't wait until you're 30

My daughter when she turned 11 her acne got really bad. None of those products worked for her. Took her to the derm and she had her use a cleanser shampoo, use salicylic acid and glycolic acid in the morning and tretnoid.1% at night with benzoyl peroxide %2.5 for spot treatment at night. Her skin is smooth as glass now. She just turned 12 and her confidence is beaming.

I agree that you need to get the basics down first but teens still have skin issues that can benefit from actives. I use a couple of serums and they make my skin so much better!

My teens and their friends all have acne. Can you do a video for teens who have acne?

What I use as a young teen (ps I have a tiny bit of acne, not much anymore since I started this)
Clinique Cleanser
Clinique moisturizer
Elf spf
1 time a week Image exfoliant/polisher(removes dead skin, and unclogs pores)
My skin has never been healthier and all the products I use are perfect for my sensitive, red-prone skin!

It really depends on your skin type some people's skin type are very oily so washing your face twice a day is good to balance your skin but some peoples skin type are very dry so washing your face twice might make it more dry, but whatever's right for you might not be right for everyone, everybody has different skin, and not everything works for everyone. Love your skin, do what's best for it. ❤❤❤
